New Vacuum Pipe

The old vacuum pipe was too short and was tight over the top of the rocker cover, plus the ends were split. I ordered a new pipe and replaced it along with the rubber ends. As the new pipe is longer, I can decide on the best place to put it.

Short and sweet post, but at least it's sorted now.

New Wheel Nuts

I ordered new wheel nuts as the ones don't fit properly and were wearing the wheels. I ordered a set of nuts designed for Minilite wheels and they fit perfectly.

Short and sweet post, but there is not much else to write.

Engine Bay Tidy

With the cooling system out at the moment, it seemed like an excellent opportunity to clean up the engine bay. Areas that were really letting the car down were the engine block, the inner wing where the radiator sits, the timing cover and a few of the ancillaries.

Bit grotty

Speedo Blunder

Recently, I was faffing about behind the instrument panel and while reassembling it, like a big ham fisted bufoon I managed to break the end off the speedo cable that attaches into the back of the speedo itself. There was a nylon square shaped sticky out bit, that I had not connected properly and snapped off!

Cooling\Heating System Overhaul - Part 1 - Radiator Overhaul

Having removed the radiator from the car, I started to clean it up and the paint on the top part of the radiator began to peal away to revealed a the rather nice brass finish underneath. It seemed criminal painting it again when the brass could be polished up so well. Seems like the plan has changed from painting to polishing.
